I spent many years in a vocation that mixed professional medical care with the fabrication and fitting of hand-made medical devices. After retirement, my hands needed something to do.
I began upcycling various items that had served their original purpose into something new. Early on I began crafting trays made from my collection of record album covers and soon expanded my choice of images to include any that caught my fancy.
Currently I have trays made from album covers and other rock ‘n' roll images, pinups, the art of M.C. Escher, vintage pulp magazine covers, the covers of National Lampoon magazine, graffiti and street art, and more.
